Forrest the Rhino
Forrest was only 5 months old when he arrived at Care for Wild in the August of 2013. His mother was poached in the Sabie Sands Nature Park, which borders the Kruger National Park.
From the very moment, he arrived he has been super calm. He is referred to as the “sweet one” because he is so chilled and happy (for a Rhino that is). Because of his lovely nature, he was given the very important job of helping Hawk to settle in when he arrived at the sanctuary. He then introduced Hawk to Timbi and Olive and they accepted him without fuss.
Forrest, Olive, Timbi and Hawk formed an inseparable bond, and around the sanctuary, they are affectionately known as FOTH.
The best friends have been released into the protection zone and remain closely bonded.
